travaille sur un métier de basse lice. Essentiellement non figurative, elle a
cherché à simplifier la technique au profit de l’intensité expressive. Peu de
couleurs, mais réparties en grandes masses subtilement rythmées ou soulignant
des formes pour créer une illusion de superposition."(1)
"Om zich verder te bekwamen in het weven van wandtapijten, ging Dorothea Van De Winkel naar Aubusson. Zij werkt op een getouw met horizontale schering (basse-lisse). In essentie non-figuratief, heeft zij gezocht om de techniek te vereenvoudigen ten voordele van een intense expressie. Sober maar helder kleurenpalet, ingedeeld in grote vlakken op een subtiele ritmische manier of de vorm omlijnend, om een illusie te creëren van bovenop elkaar plaatsen. “ (1)

I was inspired by the current world problems, conflicts, contrarieties, realizing there is always a place for a new beginning.
Different perspectives represented by colors, united into an art creation.
In that spirit I created 'In The Open Field I' and 'Tornado In The Field II' An open mind for the positive, take the opportunity for a new start.
